DIY: Fullmoon/thank you favor

every time it rains, i'm reminded of cameron highland boh tea plantation... enjoying the fresh breeze while savoring warm buttery scones & sipping a cup of hot piping tea... bliss..

wanted to infuse a little creativity to thank friends who have showered gifts & love to lil' leah...
something hopefully the recipient will find refreshing to receive.

the customary fullmoon box with angkoo, curry chicken & glutinous rice, red eggs are nice but just wanted to do something a little different by incorporating my favorite comfort snacks to say thank you.

 ~ scones + cream + a dollop of strawberry jam + butter
dress it up with a simple ribbon, doily with a handwritten thank you note

and another version... for those who have a sweet tooth...

+ dress it up with a paper pom pom (tutorial here), doily with a handwritten thank you note

DIY Gift: Onesies in Ice Cream Bowl

Saw this gift idea on etsy by kalos candy.
Decided to give it a try, not as good as the original but it's simple plus it makes one cute baby shower gift.

All you need are:
4 pcs of onesies OR you could use assorted colored washcloth instead
1 baby spoon
1 ice cream bowl OR any kids colored bowl

I have a crush...

From young, i love hand making cards for friends & loved ones.
It was a nice way for me to send a sweet message to someone, inexpensive but because of the time and effort that went into every card, it made it very precious and personal for both the sender & the recipient.

This days you get wishes through smses, phone calls, and FB but nothing beats receiving a card by snail mail and what's more when it's handmade.
I've had a crush on Vivienne's handmade cards for a long time but when she recently made baby shower invites for her close friends and posted it on her blog, i was mesmerized (half wanting to have my no.2 so that i can have a reason to have one of those lovely cards!)

I was recently commissioned to handmade/handwrite 12 pieces of invites. By the time i was at card no.6, i was wanting so badly to finish off no.12! But i found out this uber talented girl can whip up 70 - 80 handmade cards in a span of several days! Talk about passion.
