DIY gift pack for the new babe in town

It's the baby boom period again where many of my dear friends are welcoming their new bundle of joy or latest addition to the family.
And i'm thrilled cos it's the time again where i can experiment with new ways to package and whip up a gift for the lovely newborns.
I like choosing a theme and then picking the items i like to go along with it.
The above package is for a baby boy with simple blue & white hues accented with musky brown.

When we think of packaging a gift, we often associate it with gift wrapping paper.
But there really are a million ways to dress up your gift and the best part is they need not be expensive.

The above is an example of one that i like and really basic to pull-off!
(a) the carter's lion hooded towel is lovely by itself
(b) baby gap cotton white socks - i wrapped a little brown stitched ribbon purchased from ssf and stuck a froggie emblem on a plain blue cardstock
(c) baby buds sample pack courtesy of Buds Baby for every giftpack that goes out from babylicious - i tied all 4 mini packs together with a baby blue ribbon
(d) finishing: checkered cardstock which i handwrite a simple "a" (baby's initial), accented it with a red ladybug peg and finally
(e) the little bag - made out of simple plastic, punch 2 holes on each sides at the top and attach a parcel string as handles.

And there you have it! You got yourself a pretty gift pack.
See i told you it was that simple ;)
In any case if you still find this way too complicated, for a small fee, you could get us to whip up a similar one for you when you shop @ babylicious =)
