thank you for making our childhood home a place of love.
thank you for being a wonderful cook, making sure we never go hungry.
you were one resourceful woman who sees a mere couple of dollars in hand yet magically whips up a full meal for her brood.
thank you for the hard hours you toiled so that you could afford to buy us a piano and send us for lessons (as much as i hated it then, i'm so so so grateful for it now)
thank you for not giving up on me.
thank you for holding up through the hard years.
thank you for demonstrating that family is most important. in that, we grew to appreciate our siblings & now we have each other.
thank u for showing me how to be a good parent.
thank you for all the sacrifices i never saw or understood until now.
years that i wouldn't give back for anything. no matter how hard they were at times. years where I grew to realize it really didn't matter what material things i possess. years that made me who I am.
a wife. a mom. a thankful girl.
mommy, i love you.. now & always!
Happy Mother's Day!
A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. ~ Tenneva Jordan
